About Jeremy Ryan


Jeremy Ryan is an award-winning marketing technologist and entrepreneur who's spent 25+ years helping organizations connect with their audiences in meaningful ways. As the founder of Metamorphosis Agency and creator of The Playbook, he brings a rare combination of strategic marketing expertise, hands-on technical skill, and a genuine passion for helping creative professionals succeed.


Building Marketing Intelligence for Authors

Jeremy's current focus is solving one of the most frustrating challenges facing authors today: how to market a book effectively without draining your budget on expensive, cookie-cutter plans. Through The Playbook (theplaybook.io), he's built an AI-powered marketing intelligence platform that combines proprietary technology with insights from NYTimes bestselling and award-winning authors. The result? Truly customized marketing strategies that work on real-world budgets.


The Playbook represents the convergence of Jeremy's decades of marketing experience, his technical expertise in AI and software development, and his commitment to democratizing access to professional-grade marketing strategy. Authors can use The Playbook independently through guided courseware, or scale up with full agency support from Metamorphosis for consulting and execution.


A Career Built on Innovation and Results

Before founding Metamorphosis, Jeremy led creative and digital teams at Lipman Hearne, where as Executive Vice President he modernized the agency's approach to digital marketing and led award-winning work for institutions including Cornell University, Caltech, University of Notre Dame, Juilliard, and the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.


Prior to that, he served as Director of Development at Anthem Worldwide (Schawk's brand development division), where he became an expert in the "digital path to purchase" and built cutting-edge solutions for Fortune 500 companies and small businesses alike. Jeremy spent nearly a decade at Accenture as a senior designer and developer, working as an end-to-end solutions architect and prototyping innovation in digital and multi-channel experiences.


Throughout his career, Jeremy has designed and engineered enterprise-scale software solutions including Content Management Systems (CMSs), Customer Relationship Management systems (CRMs), Learning Management Systems (LMSs), supply chain security platforms, and e-commerce systems—many of which have remained successful in market for over a decade.


Beyond the Agency

Jeremy's investment in others' success extends well beyond client work. He taught advanced web design and programming at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and has appeared as a speaker at education and technology conferences. He co-founded Resensitize Records, a full-service music organization helping independent musicians produce and promote their work without the burden of expensive contracts.


As Chief Marketing Officer and co-owner of Real Central NJ Soccer, Jeremy helps build affordable, high-quality competitive soccer in Central New Jersey, with teams competing in the WPSL, USL2, and other leagues.


Community Leadership

Jeremy is deeply committed to his local community in Lawrence Township, New Jersey, where he serves on the township's Business & Economic Growth Committee, working to strengthen economic development and support local businesses. He's passionate about supporting Every Child Valued's mission to ensure every young person in Lawrence has the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive, and he's proud to contribute his expertise to help advance their important work. He's also an active volunteer with LHS Project Graduation, which raises funds to provide an alcohol and drug-free celebration for graduating seniors.


Education and Recognition

Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Muhlenberg College with a focus on business, entrepreneurship, and music. Over his 25+ year career, he's earned more than 50 industry honors and awards including Webby Awards, CASE Awards, Education Digital Marketing Awards, and recognition from organizations like Graphic Design USA and the Communicator Awards.


But Jeremy's proudest achievement isn't the awards—it's the hundreds of organizations, authors, and creative professionals he's helped launch successful initiatives and realize their visions.


Jeremy began his career at Carnegie Hall in the education department, developing and managing music education and outreach programs. He's a musician, technology entrepreneur, distance athlete, and lake swimmer who makes his home in Lawrence Township, New Jersey with his family.
